Through specialized trainings, TAC helps communities strengthen their use of rapid rehousing (RRH) as a strategy to prevent and end homelessness. Using customized modalities from multi-day, in-person workshops to remote learning series, TAC’s trainings are also adapted as appropriate to meet the specific needs of system leaders, frontline providers, and participants with lived experience of homelessness. Through a contract with the state of California, TAC facilitated a six-part training to provide practitioners in Ventura with the knowledge to implement their RRH programs in line with best practices. In Long Island (NY), TAC conducted a two-day, on-site workshop for leadership and frontline staff that included strategies to align RRH programs as a system-wide intervention; then, in 2020, TAC followed up with a remote version of the training to help launch new RRH investments funded by the CARES Act. In Maine, Indiana, and Arkansas, TAC has delivered multi-part remote learning series on RRH core components and housing problem-solving, offering Continuums of Care practical ways to implement RRH effectively, strategies to continuously improve their practice, and skills for direct service providers to help people avoid homelessness altogether.
