Since 2018, TAC has provided technical assistance and training to help the State of Washington implement evidence-based supportive housing and supported employment services as part of the Foundational Community Supports (FCS) program approved by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in the state’s Medicaid 1115 Demonstration waiver. TAC supported collaboration at the state and local levels between Medicaid, behavioral health, and housing and employment systems, and has conducted provider-level training on the integration of supportive housing and supported employment services and peer involvement into service delivery. Additionally, TAC is providing policy support for leadership within the Health Care Authority’s Policy and Behavioral Health Recovery divisions and the Aging and Long-Term Support Administration within the Department of Social and Health Services on long-term sustainability and effectiveness of the FCS supportive housing and supported employment services benefit.
