TAC provided consultation to support the Bipartisan Policy Center in convening a high-level Youth Mental Health and Substance Use Task Force to facilitate the development of actionable bipartisan policy proposals. TAC conducted in-depth research and analysis, and reached out to and built consensus among experts and stakeholders on federal policy recommendations related to delivery system redesign, safe and secure social media use, and prevention. TAC assisted with the drafting of federal policy recommendations with input from experts in the field and Task Force members; participated in Task Force meetings; and refined draft recommendations based on Task Force members’ feedback, in addition to being available to support BPC staff in responding to requests for technical assistance from Congress and the Biden administration for legislative proposals, proposed regulations, and other needs.
