STRATEGIC PLANNING & SYSTEMS CHANGE

TAC specializes in assisting states and localities to design and implement integrated systems of care for priority consumers within the context of each jurisdiction's organizational, administrative and financial resources.

TAC is unique in its knowledge of and experience with working with state and local governments. We understand both the opportunities and the constraints of working within public systems. We know that every state, city or county is different, but also that each community can learn much from each other. We are experienced in facilitating communication and consensus-building among disparate governmental entities that frequently have competing priorities and imperatives. We appreciate and are committed to the parallel public missions of providing high quality best practice services and housing to priority consumers while at the same time assuring accountability for and stewardship of scarce public resources.

TAC's expertise in this area includes:

  • Creation of long-range strategies to re-align shelters and homeless programs with PSH, Rapid Re-Housing models, and homelessness prevention initiatives

  • Assessment and strategic planning to transform residential systems of care to recovery-based Permanent Supportive Housing approaches

  • Conversion of traditional services models to evidence-based and best practice models; and

  • Development and implementation of measures of consumer outcomes as well as system and provider performance

Recent Projects:

TAC has worked with several states on their mental health transformation state incentive grants (TSIGs), assessing and making recommendations toward best practice recovery-oriented services and expanding the supply of affordable permanent supportive housing for priority consumers.
