CHILDREN'S Behavioral Health SERVICES
TAC provides expertise for the design, implementation and management of systems of care for children with behavioral health needs and their families, as well as for youth with mental health and substance use conditions. TAC also consults on policy, financing, and behavioral health elements of juvenile justice reform.
TAC also has in-depth experience designing interventions to prevent and end homelessness among low-income families.
Recent Projects:
Rosie D. vs. Patrick Consent Decree
Since 2007, TAC has assisted with the implementation of the State of Massachusetts' remedial plan under the Rosie D. vs. Patrick consent decree, a landmark class action lawsuit expanding behavioral health services to support children and their families. It is estimated that this comprehensive consent decree will affect over 100,000 children who need but currently do not receive mental health and addiction services. TAC is involved in the design, implementation and financing of best practice services under the Rosie D. judgment.
Models for Change Initiative
The MacArthur Foundation's Models for Change initiative is working intensively in four states (Illinois, Louisiana, Pennsylvania and Washington) to improve juvenile justice services. Behavioral health evidence-based practices, workforce issues, and integrated data systems have all been part of the consultation offered by TAC.
