Previously, Rod was a Deputy Assistant Secretary in HUD's Office of Public and Indian Housing and led the Clinton administration's participation in the formation of the Quality Housing and Work Responsibility Act (or Public Housing Reform Act) enacted in 1998, as well as HUD's implementation effort. Prior to HUD, Rod served as Deputy Executive Director and Acting Executive Director of the Atlanta Housing Authority; General Counsel and head of planning, reconstruction and other divisions at the Boston Housing Authority; a U.S. Senate Legislative Assistant; and in various other positions in the housing field.
